If you're here in the beautiful city of Prague and would rather do something cooler than look at statues of dead people, then pick yourself up a new copy of the Avant Guide, which is the perfect way to know the city, written by a man who knows it's gritty underbelly quite well.

avant guide pragueHip, informative, and with loads of information not just about the city, but the people who call it home, Avant Guide Prague is an indispensible guide, and if there is a goddess in heaven, maybe one day, we'll never have to look at another stupid Time Out Guide again! They also write other excellent guides for hip cities like London, New York and San Francisco!

Also worth checking out is the editor Dan Levine's site at www.avantguide.com, where you can keep up to date on the activities of this prolific trend spotter and setter.

Travelling around the world like some medical courier and then writing about it sounds like the ideal job for me, yet this is not the type of job advertised frequently in the world's help-wanted sections.

That's why long-time Praglodite Dan Levine took it upon himself to create the Avant Guide, that and the sneaking suspicion that the other guys were just getting it all wrong, like when Time Out boldly stated that "Czechs are clock-makers. Their love of the instruments of time has given them great respect for time, and so they are always very prompt."

avant guide londonHuh?

None of that non-sense in the Avant Guide series, just the coolest and most up-to-date information about the usual hotels, restaurants, shops, etc, but then they hit your brain like a killer bong-hit with all kinds of useful information about each city's cultural scene.

Designed by Mr. Gregorini of Prague's Mowshe studio, the cool visual style will make sure you get a lot of mileage out of that bong-hit. Also worth checking out is the daily Cyber Supplement at www.avantguide.com. They also write other excellent guides for hip cities like London, New York and San Francisco!
