Girl meets boy, boy snubs girl, girl meets second boy, then complications arise, boy declares love to girl, boy gets snubbed and insulted, boy is ashamed, boy writes letter to girl, girl sees boy’s big house (the actual house, it’s not alluding to anything else. I think.) and girl falls in love with boy, they get married.
Hmmm, come to think of it, I don’t think I know of any fairy tale like that. Well, Bar Sinister continues where Austen left off, the beginning of Elizabeth and Darcy’s marriage.
Explicit details and more juicy soap drama potential are unleashed in the book, making for a fun and entertaining read.
If you loved Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, you will love this even more.
